La Cenicienta — Rossini's Cinderella

Rossini's comic opera La Cenerentola staged over two nights at the Pablo Tobón Uribe, performed by young international singers. It's the fairy tale minus the fairy godmother — the comedy carries it, and it's an accessible first opera if you've never been. Sung in Italian; the Pablo Tobón is a short walk from the Prado and Centro metro stops.
