Comuna 13's own carnival turns 20 this year, with a week of street performances, two public talks, artistic takeovers of schools and street corners, and photo exhibitions tracing the carnival's history. Everything builds to the central parade on 26 September, when cultural collectives and invited groups from around Antioquia — including Grupo Tespy from El Carmen de Víboral — wind through the barrio. It's free, outdoors, and a very different Comuna 13 from the standard graffiti tour.
