Located on Avenida Juan del Corral, which is popularly referred to as “Calle de Los Muertos” or the “Street of the Dead,” the church is surrounded by a unique and solemn atmosphere. The street earned its nickname due to the majority of funerals taking place here, making it an integral part of the city’s funeral traditions.
Adjacent to Iglesia Jesús Nazareno, between the church and the Prado metro station, lie over 20 funeral parlors, creating an evocative ambiance.
