Medellin's largest science and technology museum.
The Explora park besides of having more than 20 national recognitions, it also has international recognitions such as:
- Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt, awarded by the National Design Museum in New York in 2010.
- Recognition and exhibition at the Netherlands Architecture Institute in the Netherlands: Testify, the consequences of architecture, 2011.
- Creation Grant in Astronomy for audiovisual production for domes, awarded by the American Alliance of Museums –Musseums connect– of the United States Department of State in 2015.

The museum is close on Mondays and if its public holiday,

Travel Tips / FYI
Make sure you have enough time to visit the park, each room will have interactive experiences that you will want to try, there’s a lot standing and walking, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing expect to spend about 2hours in Parque Explora. It’s a good opportunity to explore the places around Parque Explora, like Parque de los Desires (Desire Park), Jardine Botanico and Planetario Medellin.
Getting There & Parking
Metro: The best and easiest way of getting to Parque Explora by metro.
Take the Linea A of the metro towards “Niquia” get off at Universidad metro station, just follow the directions inside the station, Explora is just outside the metro station.
Taxi / Uber: is also a good option; prices from Poblado are roughly around 18,000 COP
