Unicentro Mall is a popular shopping destination in the Laureles-Estadio barrio in Medellín. It is the largest mall in the area and one of the most frequented by both locals and tourists. Unicentro Mall first opened its doors to the public in November 1991, nearly 19 years after the first Western-style shopping mall, San Diego Mall, opened in Medellín. Over the years, Unicentro Mall has undergone several updates and renovations, including a major remodeling project that took place a few years ago.
