The “Corre por Amor” event, set to take place on March 10, 2024, is the 11th edition of Medellín’s charity run. This year, the event introduces new running distances of 5 and 12 kilometers, catering to a diverse range of participants. The individual plan costs $100,000 Colombian pesos, and is open to everyone aged five and above, with free participation for children under this age and pets. Additionally, the “Plan Unidos por Amor” offers a unique opportunity to sponsor a person with a disability, assigned by the Mónica Uribe Por Amor Foundation, for $130,000. This fee includes individual registration with a kit and sponsorship of the assigned person, also providing them with a kit to participate.

The event is organized by MCM Operador de Eventos, a non-profit organization established in 2003. Renowned for its commitment to excellence in organizing sports and cultural events nationwide, MCM has been a pioneer in launching major street races in Colombia, including the prestigious Medellín Marathon. With three decades of experience, the Medellín Marathon has emerged as Colombia’s premier technical competition, offering distances of 42, 21, 10, and 5 kilometers. It’s notable for its 42-kilometer race, the only one in Colombia accredited by World Athletics and the Colombian Athletics Federation, and is a member of AIMS (International Association of Marathons and Street Races). MCM’s extensive experience includes organizing various sports events, both independently and in collaboration with local and international brands, drawing thousands of participants to its activities.
